  • We’re Not The Same

    We’re Not The Same

    “They Just Keep Taking”
    by Scott Randy Gerber

    They lie.
With tongues forked like serpents behind a grin,
Dressed in suits stitched from other people’s skin.
    They cheat.
With a smile and a pen, then call it law,
While hungry children bite their lips raw.

    They steal.
    And still—
    It’s not enough.

They hoard the gold, the bread, the time,
They twist the truth, reframe the crime.
They steal from hands already bare,
And curse the poor for breathing air.

They build their castles out of bones,
Then throw us pennies, like we’re stones.
    Their appetites are blackened holes,
    Consuming futures, eating souls.

    And yet—
If they, with bellies aching, came,
The ones they crushed would feel their shame…
But still would lift a trembling hand,
And offer bread, and try to stand.

Because kindness doesn’t count the cost.
It’s born from love, not what is lost.
It gives when there’s no more to give,
It’s how the meek still choose to live.

    That’s the tragedy.
    That’s the truth.
The ones they rob—the old, the youth—
Are rich in ways the tyrants fear,
With hearts too wide, too bright, too clear.

The child who weeps from hunger pains
Would shelter them from cold and rains.
The mother who can barely stand
Would still extend her open hand.

    And still—
    They want more.

    More greed.
    More walls.
    More thrones.
    More chains.

They gut the earth and steal the sky,
And never once ask themselves why.
Why the joy they buy won’t last,
Why their souls feel made of glass.

Because deep down, they know it’s true:
    That the strongest ones…
    Are not they, but you.

The ones who break, yet bend to heal.
    Who give, not take.
    Who feel.

In ragged homes and crowded streets,
    Where struggle and humanity meet,
There blooms a grace they’ll never see—
    A wealth beyond their currency.

One day, the walls will fall to dust.
And power bow before the just.
And they will hunger—yes, they will—
And find no throne can keep them still.

But even then, as sure as dawn,
    Some stranger poor, alone, withdrawn,
Will see their eyes and offer bread,
    A hand, a light, a tear unshed.

Because that’s what makes the humble great:
They do not answer love with hate.
They give, not for reward or fame—
    But just because…
    We’re not the same.

  • True Leaders

    True Leaders

“Leaders are not born; they are shaped by life’s trials, lessons, and experiences. True leaders emerge through perseverance, humility, and the wisdom gained from their journey. They never forget where they started and understand that leadership is earned, not demanded.

The best leaders inspire by example—they’re the ones who roll up their sleeves and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their team, no matter the challenge. They treat everyone, regardless of title or status, with respect and dignity. They lift others up, offering help when needed, guidance when sought, and encouragement when times are tough.

True leaders are trustworthy, honest, and fair. Their actions build a foundation of respect, and they never take for granted the contributions of their team. They recognize that while they may have had the vision, it’s the collective effort of their people that turns that vision into reality. Gratitude and appreciation flow naturally from them, reminding everyone that success is a shared journey.

True leadership isn’t about power or position—it’s about character, compassion, and the courage to serve others selflessly. Leaders are forged, not born, through the choices they make and the impact they leave behind.”

  • Gazing into the abyss

    Gazing into the abyss

There comes a point in life where defeat becomes inevitable, and tonight, I feel that moment has arrived. I’ve fought hard, made my choices, and given everything I had to offer, but the weight of it all has finally caught up with me. The truth is, there’s no one else to blame but myself. I’ve made decisions, sometimes out of reasons that most wouldn’t even begin to comprehend. I’ve given when I should have held back, helped when I should have walked away, and in the end, I’ve given far more than I’ve ever received in return.

Now, I’m just too old, too tired, and perhaps, too cynical to continue. I’ve watched this world morph into something disturbingly self-serving, where greed and self-interest reign supreme. The path we’re on was always the path we were meant to follow, but I had hoped to see something different in my lifetime—a spark of hope, a shift toward something better. But now, I’m not so sure. It’s heartbreaking to witness what’s coming, knowing the inevitability of the end, driven by the insatiable hunger for power and wealth.

The sad reality is that we, the average people, lost control long ago, and we didn’t even see it happening. The media, once a beacon of truth, now serves as a tool of manipulation, indistinguishable from the propaganda machines of tyrannies past. The powers behind the scenes—those who pull the strings—have been executing their plan with masterful patience and precision. We are mere spectators to our own demise, powerless to stop it, for the path we’re on has no return. The changes have come slowly, deliberately, and right under our noses, and now, here we are—at the point of no return.

What lies ahead will be destruction on a scale we can scarcely imagine. And for those who survive it, they’ll bear witness to the true nature of hell. We have no one to blame but ourselves. Yet, I can’t help but marvel at the brilliance of it all—the patience, the creativity, the audacity to dismantle everything while we watched in complacency. They did it so subtly, so cleverly, that we never even noticed until it was too late.

And now, there’s nothing left to do but accept the inevitable. We are standing on the precipice, gazing into the abyss, and soon, the fall will come.

  • Extend Your Hand In Kindness

    Extend Your Hand In Kindness

    Extended hands image

In every heart, a story lies untold, A journey, a struggle, a path to unfold. With kindness and fairness, let’s meet each day, For you never know the burdens in others’ way.

A neighbor may stumble, knocked off their feet, Extend your hand, make their world sweet. Remember, their struggles are mirrors to yours, Just different chapters, behind different doors.

In this changing world, so self-centered and cold, We must cherish the values we’ve always been told. Is this the world we desire, where selfishness reigns? Or one where compassion alleviates pains?

Teach our children to see beyond their own view, To offer a hand, to help and renew. For it will be a sad day, devoid of hope’s light, When no one is willing to help in the night.

So let’s live with kindness, with hearts open wide, And make the world better, with love as our guide. For treating others fairly, with understanding and care, Creates a world where all burdens we share.

  • Break Free From Those Chains That Hold You.

Break Free From Those Chains That Hold You.

I stood by you, ready to fight the demons within, Caring deeply, despite your disbelief in anyone. You are not guilty for what they did to you, I only wanted to help you break free from the chains that have held you for so long, preventing you from achieving your dreams.

Perhaps I wasn’t the right one to stand by your side, but know that I tried, giving every last drop of my strength. I saw the fighter within you, the strength to break those chains and finally live the life you’ve always deserved.

If I’m not the one, keep searching, and continue building that inner strength. But remember, at some point, you need to believe in someone, to trust again and set yourself free.

  • A Pawn In His Game Of Chest

A Pawn In His Game Of Chest

I was just a pawn in his game of chess, A piece to be moved, discarded, no less, Spent and broken, my heart laid bare, His true colors showed, revealing the snare.

He took what he could, left nothing behind, A useless soul, abandoned, confined, On the side of the road, used up and torn, Left to mourn, in a world forlorn.

A stupid fool, ensnared by a con, By a heartless man, with no soul to draw on, He won his treasures, claimed his deceit, Leaving me shattered, alone in defeat.

No beating heart, no flicker of soul, He played his game, exacted his toll, And here I stand, wiping tears of pain, A reminder of loss, in a conman’s reign.

But from these ashes, I’ll rise once more, Stronger and wiser, my spirit will soar, For though he won, his victory’s hollow, A life without love, is a fate hard to swallow.

And I, a pawn no longer defined, Will find my path, my peace of mind, For even in pain, a lesson is learned, A soul can rebuild, no longer spurned.

  • Shadows Of A Broken Heart

    Shadows Of A Broken Heart

    Shadows of a broken heart

In the dawn of love, hearts beat as one, Promises whispered under the sun. We danced in dreams, hands intertwined, Our souls connected, our lives aligned.

But shadows grew where light once lay, Whispers of deceit led me astray. Your words, a veil, so sweetly spun, Hid the truth, a web undone.

Eyes once bright with trust and light, Now clouded, lost in endless night. A stranger’s face where love should be, A heart confused, longing to see.

Why did you lead me through this pain, With lies that fell like bitter rain? Questions echo, answers fade, In this dark, deceitful parade.

I yearn for truth, for clarity, For open hearts, sincerity. No more games or twisted lies, Just honesty beneath the skies.

The hurt, it lingers, deep and raw, A wound that time can’t seem to thaw. I seek a love that’s pure and true, A bond that’s built on trust, not rue.

Tell me now, no more disguise, Reveal the truth behind your eyes. For in this maze of broken dreams, I need to know what silence means.

To trust again, to heal this scar, I need the truth of who you are. No more deceit, no more pretend, Just honesty to comprehend.

In love’s embrace, we start anew, With open hearts, and skies of blue. For only truth can set us free, And bring us peace, both you and me.

  • Echoes Of Two Hearts Weaved Together As One.

Echoes Of Two Hearts Weaved Together As One.

    two hearts joining together
    Bonds Of Transparency

In the quiet morning light, we meet, Two souls converging, incomplete. Love’s first whispers, soft and sweet, In honesty, our hearts compete.

We build our world on words we share, Dreams and fears laid open, bare. Trust, a fragile, tender thread, Woven through the words we’ve said.

In laughter’s song and sorrow’s tear, We find our way, we draw near. Yet silence, like a creeping vine, Can choke the bond we design.

Secrets whispered in the night, Shadows cast in soft moonlight. Truth unspoken, left to die, Breeds distrust and silent sighs.

So let our voices rise and sing, Of every joy and suffering. For in the open, hearts align, And trust, like sunlight, will shine.

No fortress built of steel or stone, Can guard a love left all alone. But with each truth, confessed, revealed, Our bond is strong, our wounds are healed.

In every word, a piece of soul, In honesty, we find our whole. For love, in light, can only thrive, When trust and truth are kept alive.

So let us vow, in days to come, To speak our hearts, to not succumb. For in the echoes of our voice, We find in love, a lasting choice.
