    Shadows Of A Broken Heart

    Shadows of a broken heart

In the dawn of love, hearts beat as one, Promises whispered under the sun. We danced in dreams, hands intertwined, Our souls connected, our lives aligned.

But shadows grew where light once lay, Whispers of deceit led me astray. Your words, a veil, so sweetly spun, Hid the truth, a web undone.

Eyes once bright with trust and light, Now clouded, lost in endless night. A stranger’s face where love should be, A heart confused, longing to see.

Why did you lead me through this pain, With lies that fell like bitter rain? Questions echo, answers fade, In this dark, deceitful parade.

I yearn for truth, for clarity, For open hearts, sincerity. No more games or twisted lies, Just honesty beneath the skies.

The hurt, it lingers, deep and raw, A wound that time can’t seem to thaw. I seek a love that’s pure and true, A bond that’s built on trust, not rue.

Tell me now, no more disguise, Reveal the truth behind your eyes. For in this maze of broken dreams, I need to know what silence means.

To trust again, to heal this scar, I need the truth of who you are. No more deceit, no more pretend, Just honesty to comprehend.

In love’s embrace, we start anew, With open hearts, and skies of blue. For only truth can set us free, And bring us peace, both you and me.

  • Echoes Of Two Hearts Weaved Together As One.

Echoes Of Two Hearts Weaved Together As One.

    two hearts joining together
    Bonds Of Transparency

In the quiet morning light, we meet, Two souls converging, incomplete. Love’s first whispers, soft and sweet, In honesty, our hearts compete.

We build our world on words we share, Dreams and fears laid open, bare. Trust, a fragile, tender thread, Woven through the words we’ve said.

In laughter’s song and sorrow’s tear, We find our way, we draw near. Yet silence, like a creeping vine, Can choke the bond we design.

Secrets whispered in the night, Shadows cast in soft moonlight. Truth unspoken, left to die, Breeds distrust and silent sighs.

So let our voices rise and sing, Of every joy and suffering. For in the open, hearts align, And trust, like sunlight, will shine.

No fortress built of steel or stone, Can guard a love left all alone. But with each truth, confessed, revealed, Our bond is strong, our wounds are healed.

In every word, a piece of soul, In honesty, we find our whole. For love, in light, can only thrive, When trust and truth are kept alive.

So let us vow, in days to come, To speak our hearts, to not succumb. For in the echoes of our voice, We find in love, a lasting choice.

  • I think A Dog Would Be Better Over Another Relationship.

Man and Dog on beach watching sunset

The Dog’s the One for Me

I’ve had my fill of human love,
It seems it’s not my style.
The flirting, fights, and fickle hearts,
Make it hard to ever smile.

They say that love is patient,
    But humans test the line.
With insults sharp and games to play,
    They waste my precious time.

But a dog, oh what a treasure,
    A loyal friend indeed.
They wag their tails in pure delight,
    With every loving deed.

    No drama, lies, or cheating,
    Just joy in simple things.
Like a scratch behind the ears,
Or the joy a mealtime brings.

A dog will never ghost you,
    Or talk behind your back.
They’re always there to comfort you,
When life gets off the track.

So maybe I’m meant to be alone,
But not in a lonely way.
With a furry friend beside me,
I’ll enjoy each and every day.

    No more relationship drama,
    No partner to deceive.
Just a faithful dog to greet me,
    Every time I leave.

    So here’s to simpler living,
And to peace in every way.
A place, a dog, and solitude,
Is where I’ll find my play.

  • When You’re Dealing With Darkness Head Back Towards The Light.

When You’re Dealing With Darkness Head Back Towards The Light.

When Dealing With Darkness Head Back Towards The Light

In shadows deep where whispers dwell, I tread a path where secrets swell, A mind so sharp, a heart so cold, A master’s touch, deceit unfolds.

His eyes, a mask of gentle grace, Conceal the lies that lace his face, A puppet’s string in every glance, I dance to rhythms of his trance.

With words like honey, sweet and sly, He weaves a web where truths must die, Intelligence, a double-edged knife, Cuts through the fabric of my life.

His touch, a phantom’s chilling grip, A poison coursing sip by sip, In mirrored halls, I lose my way, Each step a gamble, night or day.

But in this labyrinth of dread, A spark of hope, a thread of red, I find within a voice, a spark, To shield my heart from shadows dark.

I gather strength from fractured light, To stand my ground, to fight, to fight, Against the tides of his control, To reclaim fragments of my soul.

No longer will I bend and break, For now my spirit starts to wake, With every breath, a silent vow, To save what’s left, to heal, somehow.

For in the dawn, a future gleams, Beyond his reach, beyond his schemes, I rise anew, a phoenix bright, From ashes dark, into the light.

  • Life’s Cycle That Never Ends. A Poem About Our Lives.

Life’s Cycle That Never Ends. A Poem About Our Lives.

    THE CYCLE OF LIFE

In childhood’s dawn, with dreams so bright, We learn to say “please” and “thank you” right, To be polite, to mind our way, And listen to what elders say.

We dream of growing up so fast, To leave behind the rules at last, To do whatever we desire, No more requests, no more “not right now.”

But then we grow and soon we see, Life isn’t quite as wild and free, Responsibilities appear, With every year, they grow more near.

We go to work, we earn our pay, We juggle tasks both night and day, We answer to a boss’s call, And at home, chores never fall.

We marry, raise our kids with care, Teach them what’s right, make them aware, To be polite, to live with grace, To cherish every fleeting space.

Yet soon we long for days of rest, Retirement dreams become our quest, To slow things down, to take it slow, But even then, the tasks still grow.

Bills to pay and food to buy, Responsibilities don’t say goodbye, On tighter budgets, now we live, Still giving all we have to give.

And one day, looking back, we find, Life’s hurried pace, a state of mind, From stage to stage, the cycle runs, From dawn to dusk, under the sun.

We rushed through life to find the truth, That each phase brings its weight of proof, Life keeps moving, doesn’t stall, In every stage, we give our all.

So heed this tale, both young and old, Life’s rhythm beats, so true and bold, In every stage, find joy and strive, Embrace the endless cycle of life.

  • True Love For A Lifetime

    True Love For A Lifetime

    True Love For A Lifetime

In the quiet dawn of morning light, When shadows dance and stars take flight, True love whispers, soft and clear, A melody for hearts to hear.

Through trials faced and battles won, In every setting of the sun, Its warmth remains, a steady glow, A beacon in the night’s soft flow.

It’s in the way you hold my hand, A silent promise, love unplanned, In shared glances, knowing smiles, In journeys walked for endless miles.

It’s in the strength of silent words, A love that soars with unseen birds, In laughter’s echo, tears we share, A bond that time can never wear.

When storms arise and skies are gray, True love stands firm, won’t fade away, It weathers all with gentle grace, A constant in life’s fleeting race.

It’s in the trust, unspoken, deep, A faith in dreams we both shall keep, In every heartbeat, pure and true, A testament of me and you.

For love that’s real, and love that’s rare, Endures beyond what words declare, It’s found in every breath we take, A vow unbroken, never fake.

And so, my dear, for all our days, In life’s sweet, intricate maze, I know our love, steadfast and bright, Will guide us through the darkest night.

For true love’s flame will never die, In you and I, it soars, it flies, A timeless dance, a perfect blend, Our hearts entwined until the end.

  • Reflections of a Lifetime: A Poignant Poem on the Changing World and Legacy

Girl on handrail looking over a dark world
A World Lost To Greed and Corruption

As I grow older, the world unfolds, A tapestry of stories, both new and old. I’ve watched as leaders turned astray, Greed and corruption leading the way.

The country I once held in pride, Now struggles, its virtues cast aside. A place renowned, now lost its fame, As selfish hearts ignite the flame.

People’s hearts, once open and wide, Now shelter selfishness inside. I fear for my children, their future dim, A world transformed, hopes growing slim.

They’ll face a path I cannot see, Challenges unknown, far from me. My time on earth, I know, is brief, As I reflect, my heart finds grief.

I’ve given much, perhaps too much, A fair heart, a gentle touch. But in this world where greed is king, I fear the sorrow it might bring.

My children, dear, may bear the cost, Of virtues kept, not selfish lost. The price they pay for kindness shown, In a world where greed has grown.

Yet, I’d rather sleep with peace at night, Knowing I upheld what’s right. For in my core, I cannot change, A heart that’s fair, though it seems strange.

I’m sorry, children, for the pain, In a world where selfishness reigns. But know my love was always true, In every choice, I thought of you.

As I age, wisdom takes its place, Knowing what’s of true embrace. The world may shift, yet here I stand, With a loving heart, a guiding hand.

    Adrian’s Fight

In the journey of life, we face twists and turns,

Ups and downs, lessons to learn.

It’s a miracle we survive, pushing through the strife,

Choosing to keep going, embracing this life.

Asked how I continue after losing my child,

To cancer’s cruel grasp, my spirit reviled.

I had two choices, to crumble or stand tall,

To give up or rise after the fall.

What would my son want, I often ponder,

To see me give up, or to fight and wander?

He was a fighter, never backing down,

He battled until he was worn, until he was bound.

So I’ll fight for him, carry on his fight,

With every breath, with all my might.

I’ll stand back up, no matter the cost,

For my son, for love, for what I’ve lost.

So as I walk this path, with strength and grace,

I honor his memory, I’ll keep the pace.

For in every struggle, every test we face,

It’s love that guides us, with unwavering grace.

  • Scottish Charm

In Dunedin’s charm, where tales unfold, A Florida town with stories untold. Gulf breezes whisper through ancient oaks, A place where the community spirit invokes.

Palm-lined streets and historic grace, Dunedin’s embrace, a warm embrace. Sunsets painting skies in hues divine, A canvas of colors, a sight so fine.

Downtown’s heartbeat, Main Street’s cheer, Local shops and cafes, drawing near. On Honeymoon Island, the gulls take flight, As waves serenade in the soft moonlight.

A Scottish heritage, proud and strong, Bagpipes playing a timeless song. From festivals to art on every street, Dunedin’s heartbeat, a rhythm sweet.

The Pinellas Trail, where cyclists ride, Nature’s beauty along every side. Caladesi Island’s pristine shore, Dunedin’s paradise, forevermore.

Craft breweries with a lively cheer, A sip of joy, a taste of Dunedin’s year. Friendly faces in this coastal abode, Where life in Dunedin gracefully flowed.

So, in this haven by the sea, Dunedin, where life is fancy-free. With every sunset, a story spun, Living in Dunedin, under the Florida sun.
